I think we should all enjoy every moment that we can, every day of our lives. So when there is a fun experience to have, a reason to celebrate, or just getting together with friends or family……grab it with both hands!! This week was fantastic and was full of laughter and fun with friends and family.
Cycle Celebration on Monday!!
On Monday, we celebrated Jackie’s birthday in Cycle class with balloons, gifts, glow sticks, and a fantastic playlist specifically created for Jackie!! It was incredibly hot and class was hard, but we made it through with lots of laughter, bike dancing (yes, it is a thing!), and profuse sweating.
Taco Tuesday!!
Luckily, we had a small storm this morning so the day is cooler. It’s Texas…..in July…….so “cool” is a relative term. This gave me the opportunity to sit outside, without melting, and enjoy my coffee while the dogs played in the yard. I love Stroopwafels with my coffee. Just set it on the coffee cup and the heat slightly warms it up. I randomly found a box of these at TJ Maxx and fell in love.
For dinner, we celebrated Jackie’s birthday again!! Wonderful friends at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop on Taco Tuesday with $1.50 tacos combined with Happy Hour = good times and abundant laughter.
You may notice that we all managed to seat ourselves as though we were at a junior high school dance…….girls on one side, boys on the other. It was unintentional and I didn’t notice it until I got home and looked at the pictures!!
Instead of cake, she had a Strawberry Daiquiri. Happy Birthday, Jackie!!!

Wednesday With Mom
I met mom for coffee and shopping. She needed to buy supplies and decorations for my niece and nephew’s birthday parties. Starbucks was a nice way to start our afternoon shopping. A couple of White Chocolate Mochas and a scrumptious Blueberry Muffin……and we are ready!!!
After stopping at numerous stores over the course of several hours, we decided to grab some dinner. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop!!! No joking!! Mom has never eaten there and I was not opposed to eating it again this week. We had a couple of brisket tacos and a basket of chips and salsa. Thankfully, we still had a lot of shopping to do after dinner because we were stuffed and needed to walk!!
Shivers Natural Snow on Thursday!!
The evening weather is so fantastic that we wanted to get out and enjoy it. We loaded up Kai and Auggie in the car and drove the short distance to Shivers Natural Snow for some of the fresh summer flavors. Kym got a Strawberry with Sweet Cream and I got a Fresh & Sweet (seasonal watermelon & fresh cucumber). If you haven’t tried Shivers, yet, I highly suggest taking time to go!! Check out their Facebook page here for all the information. They make their own shaved ice syrup from scratch with all natural, real ingredients. When they can, they buy their fruit fresh, and local.
Kai and Auggie spent the evening rolling in the grass and soaking up all the petting from the kids and adults. Lots of families were enjoying the evening….. playing frisbee or cornhole, sitting on blankets, running, playing, and laughing. We walked around the area eating our Natural Snow until the sun finally set.
Friday with Family!!
Today started with an early morning cycle class and then I sat for a while in the cool morning air, reading my book and enjoying coffee on the Starbucks patio.
Today is my mom’s birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!! She and my sister, Traci, brought my niece to Longview and we met for a little shopping and lunch. Guess where we went? YES! Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. I cannot make this stuff up. I’m surprised they didn’t bring me a payroll check because I have been there so much this week!
Afterwards, we went for ice cream cones and then a little more shopping before they left to go home. Again, the weather was amazing as the sun went down so we sat on the porch with Tiki Torches giving off a small amount of light to illuminate the porch. We have the Spartan Mosquito Eradicators hanging in the yard but the torches help keep the rest of the bugs away! After such a wonderful week, it is absolutely awesome to sit on the porch, watch the stars in the sky, and reminisce about how great life really is. This journey that I am on puts a huge smile on my face every day. I cannot thank you enough for taking this journey with me and letting me tell you about my stellar week.

The app also has sections for Things to do, Saved places, Day plans, Discounts, and Food & Drink. It is a collection of several things specific to the city you are visiting and can display the information on a map that you can use to get GPS navigation from your location.
